<p>I am sure many of us would love to eat fried chicken. Seriously who wouldn&#8217;t? There are of cos many variations when it comes to fried chicken and you can simply name it off your list.</p>



<p>This one local version, fried prawn paste chicken which often referred as har cheong gai in Cantonese dialect is a common dish which you can easily find in any zi char stall.</p>



<p>Prawn paste has a very unique, distinct and pungent aroma and is made from fermented and dried silver shrimp. It is often used to add to seasonings or marinades for meats and seafood to give the dish an umami flavouring.</p>

<p>I have had my fair share of har cheong gai and there is this particular stall specializing just on selling fried prawn paste chicken, Ah Tan Har Cheong Gai which really stood out in my opinion.</p>



<p>Their fried chicken is fried till extra crispy coupled with the pungent fragrance of the prawn paste. Not to mention the meat juiciness. It is simply beyond words. Really power! ðªðªðª</p>



<p>There is no need for you to be overly stressed out on what to order when you are here as the menu is highly simplified. </p>

<p>There are only 2 main items found on the menu. Either the Set A, Wing Wing or Set B, Atas Cutlet and both sets comes with aromatic rice and egg. Alternatively, you may just opt for the ala-carte wings on its own.</p>
