Time really flies! It was exactly one year ago that I visited Hong Kong (though it seemed like yesterday), and here I am again. Can’t wait to enjoy the great food once again. 😋😋😋

Excitement can only start after stepping into the departure hall.

Invitation to The Private Room. This is only extended for travellers flying on SQ Suites or First Class. Glad that I am fortunate enough to experience it one more time.

Rice vermicelli, coconut curry broth, half lobster (shell-on), hardboiled egg, fish cakes, bean curd puffs & bean sprouts.

Pan fried flatbread with fish curry.

Cabbage and tung oh dumpling & luohan vegetarian dumpling.

Mixture of apple, orange & carrot.

Freshen up with a nice shower prior to boarding.

Time to board…..Bye Singapore for now, and here I come, Hong Kong!

Enjoying my cabin suite in comfort. This is what life should be all about! 🥰

Cheers to good health as always! 🥂

I loved this big TV screen on air. It’s really a comfort and luxury to enjoy movies on a big screen.
Time for sky breakfast.

Charcoal grilled Australian Wagyu beef tenderloin steak served with creamy polenta, red wine sauce and seasonal vegetables.

Luxurious sky restroom. Elegantly beautiful and spacious.

From the airport, I took the hassle-free Citybus A10 to Jen Hong Kong. The ride takes about 35 mins and costs only HKD 49.70. 👍

Checking-in to Jen Hong Kong for my next 4 nights stay.

The room is comfortably spacious with a great view.

Loved the harbour view from the room that I am in.

There is a nice outdoor pool at the top of the hotel.

Even the gym comes with a great view of the Victoria Harbour too.

Visited the 2 storeys % Arabica café at Kennedy Town, which is insta-worthy.

Loved the clean and simplicity interior design.

You can get to chill on the second floor with plentiful space while enjoying the panoramic views of the harbour.

Enjoying my iced dark latte while taking in the mesmerising view at the same time.

Thereafter, headed over to Tsim Chai Kee at Wellington Street for an early dinner. This is the first time that I do not have to queue. How lucky! 🙏

As usual, the noodles are always springy-ly good coupled with the ping-pong sized wonton and super tender sliced beef. 😋😋😋

Next up, you can experience the Central–Mid-Levels escalator and walkway system in Hong Kong (covers over 800m in distance), which is the longest outdoor covered escalator system in the world.

At the end of the escalator walkway, you will come across The Police Headquarters Block, which contained offices and officers’ rooms and is notable for its imposing and ornate facade fronting Hollywood Road.

You may get to visit the free exhibition on the rise of Cantopop when you are at The Police Headquarters Block.

Reminiscing the oldies’ soundtrack of our lives exhibition.

Directly opposite will be the Prison Yard, where the Victoria Prison was once located. This was the first and longest-running prison to date in Hong Kong.

Ending the night by spending time at the Central Market (taken over by the Urban Renewal Authority for revitalisation). This landmark was preserved and adapted for commercial, cultural and/or community use, where people can dine, shop and work with a curated heritage experience.

Starting the morning with a complimentary breakfast (being a Jade member at Shangri-La) at the hotel Café Malacca.

They cater to a good selection of breakfast options.

Looks like I will be well taken for the next 3 morning breakfast. ☺️

Art Lane is Hong Kong’s first urban art SOHO community that is revitalized with murals.

Art Lane is one of the brightest, most colourful, and probably the most accessible art spots in town.

Isn’t this beautiful? You can spend some time here for photo shoot too.
How to go Art Lane Hong Kong?
Take MTR to Sai Ying Pun Station and use Exit B3.

OMG! Look what I saw…. Lee Kum Kee has its own building! 😱

The sculpture, a gilded flower bauhinia, is 6m high. The major part is composed of a bauhinia on a base of red granite pillar on a pyramid. The sculpture is deemed an important symbol for the Hong Kong people after the handover.

Went for a quick brunch at Fineprint Wan Chai (5 min walk from Exit A3 Wan Chai MTR Station) that specialises in sourdough as recommended by a friend of mine in Hong Kong.

Half avo toast, half tomato feta salad on toast. Their sourdough is really, really good.

Capi sparkling mineral water, fresh lime & mint.

Hopping on next to Bakehouse Wan Chai, serving fresh sourdough and fine pastries.

Concentrated cold brew, salted lime & tonic. Uniquely tasty.

Green tea, pineapple, kombu & goji berries.

Caught hold of this interesting sculpture while on the street of Wan Chai.

Saw this interesting quote at Elements, a modern, high-end retail complex with 100+ stores, plus restaurants, a movie theatre & ice rink while en route to M+. This is what retail therapy is about. 😀

Next up, headed over to M+, Asia’s first global museum of contemporary visual culture. You can spend a good amount of time here to enjoy the exhibition. Highly recommended.

You will need to purchase a ticket to gain entry to the various exhibition galleries.

You can find many interesting items from the M+ Shop if you are a great fan of Yayoi Kusama.

Panoramic view taken from the M+ waterfront promenade.

Beating the dinner crowd at Sister Wah Beef Brisket.

Starting the morning with an intense exercise by climbing ladder street. The ladder street begins on Queens Road and continues up to Sheung Wan mid-levels. The street is full of color and history and apart from the much visited Man Mo Temple.

There is even a public toilet catered for climbers. 👍

Ladder Street is a street consisting entirely of stone steps located in Sheung Wan and is a popular tourist spot due to its historic significance in Hong Kong.

Negotiating the many steps up the street is a difficult task, but one that can be enjoyed greatly due to the sights and sounds that the street has to offer.

The Man Mo Temple located at the corner of Ladder Street on Hollywood Road is one of the most visited temples by both tourists and locals in Hong Kong.

Worshippers come here to pray for peace and success.

Dedicated to scholars who pass the imperial examinations.

Chilling over at Meanwhile Coffee at Hillier Street.

Cooling off the hot weather at Pacific Place, a shopping complex featuring 4 floors of global fashion chains, luxury retailers & a cineplex.

Followed by a nice lunch at Nadaman in celebration of National Day.

I always enjoyed the typical street scene taken from the Mong Kok bridge stretch.

From there, I can take a leisure stroll from the covered bridge to Moko, a shopping mall connected to the Mong Kok East MTR Station. There is a good selection of retail outlets & restaurants in this mall too.

Taking a recharged break at Mountain Coffee in Moko.

Adjourned to Langham Place next, a modern multi-level shopping complex with dozens of upscale retailers, restaurants & a movie theatre.

Enjoying dessert at Honeymoon Dessert.

Catching an early dinner at Dragon City Cafe.

Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple in Hong Kong is home to three religions; Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism.

Wong Tai Sin Temple is a well-known shrine and tourist attraction in Hong Kong. It is dedicated to Wong Tai Sin, or the Great Immortal Wong.

Most of the visitors come to the temple in search of a spiritual answer via a practice called kau chim.

They light incense sticks, kneel before the main altar, make a wish, and shake a bamboo cylinder containing fortune sticks until a stick falls out.

After the visit, you may cool down at the nearby Temple Mall. There are retail shops and restaurants where you can chill down before embarking on your next destination.

Getting a quick fix at Café De Coral at the Temple Mall.

Next up, went over to Apt. Coffee, a beautifully minimalistic quiet café nestled within Wan Chai’s hippest food hub, Starstreet Precinct.

If you have a chance to visit Wan Chai, make sure you pop by St. Francis Street. There is an alley, Sau Wa Fong, with a rainbow staircase, which is a hidden photo spot.

Stopping by Hysan Place, an enormous shopping mall offering brand-name stores, a bookshop, services & dining options. Definitely can shop till you drop type. 😅

Making a pit stop for dessert break at Kyo Hayashiya.

Crossing opposite to Sogo, a multi-floor department store with well-known brands of apparel, cosmetics, housewares & appliances for more retail therapy.

One for the road dinner at Kau Kee Food Cafe. They are famous for their beef brisket noodles served in clear broth and beef curry noodles.

A must visit for beef lovers! 😋😋😋

Opened in February 2021, Golden Scene Cinema promotes art and culture appreciation through a dynamic range of cinematic experiences, such as a large variety in our regular programming, and carefully curated specialty movie events, such as Screen Monday, Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival (KIFF), and specific director retrospective programs.
How to go Golden Scene Cinema?
It is a 3 min walk from Kennedy Town MTR station Exit B.

Masonry wall trees refer to trees grown from openings in masonry stone retaining walls. As time goes by, sprouts mature into fully developed stone wall trees.

The stone wall trees enrooted on historical granite walls is a unique scene in Hong Kong. Be sure to make it a point to come and see it for yourself the next time you visit Hong Kong.
It has been a great 5D 4N relaxing trip. Time always flies whenever we are having a good time. It’s now time to head over to the airport for my flight home.

Travelling via hassle free Airport Express to the airport due to a sudden heavy downpour upon check-out. Else, I could have travelled via Citybus, which will be more convenient. Well, this is what expecting the unexpected is all about. 😊

Swift and hassle free arrival to the airport.

Chilling out at SilverKris Lounge prior to boarding.

Since I am flying via Suites, I will be able to enjoy the First Class Lounge instead of the usual SilverKris Lounge.

All loading up and ready to go……

Time to board. Feels good and privileged to be the first to board the plane. 👍

Enjoying my sky suite once again. Feels really good!

Snacking on warm mixed nuts for a start.

Preparing for sky dining.

I thought the noodle would be served with a maine lobster tail, and it turned out that the dumpling is stuffed with lobster meat instead of the usual pork and prawn stuffing. How ingenious!

The smaller size sky restroom.

It’s time to have a good rest prior to arrival.
Well, that’s all for now and till my next trip!
wow!! 94Marina’s Corner @ Sunset Way
