If you are one of those who like to check out the latest and happening cafe in town, look no more and you can head down to Boufe located at Phoenix Park. When I first came across this name, I had a hard time trying to figure out how to pronounce it. Boufe is essentially made up from the words ’boutique’ and ‘cafe’. Read it as boo-fay.
What I like most is their clean white interior decoration and food is definitely a great plus point as well.
The honey wings is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
Another great starter would be the mash potato prawn. Basically the prawn is wrapped with mash potato with a little bit of spice.
The mini mushroom melts is worth some attention too.
The fisherman’s dory with fries is splendid too, especially with the truffle mayonnaise sauce.
The prawn aglio olio deserves a thumbs up too. Savoury good.
The tomato crab pasta is equally good too.
The truffle mushroom pasta is certainly one of its kind. Awesomely delicious.
The beef steak on charcoal roll is something unique and goes well with the chips.
The beef steak sourdough is whispering you to “meat us here”.
They do offer a good selection of desserts here as well. The signature Boufe cake is a must try if you are into dessert.
The opera cake is calling out for attention as well.
Not forgetting their strawberry shortcake too.
A cup of macchiato is ideal to mark the grand finale to a great dining experience.
Hope this will give you another dining option if you have run out of places to go.
Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Boufe is now permanently closed for business. What a real pity!! 😔
