Starscafe @ Copthorne King’s Hotel

I have always been searching for nice cafe food within the Copthorne Group other than my usual haunt at Cafe 2000.

In the past, the dining offer was not applicable at Starscafe. With the revision of their program beginning of 2018, the ala-carte dining benefit is now extended to cover Starscafe.

I have always wanted to try it out but the relatively steep food prices held me back previously. Now, I am glad that I am able to do so with the dining offer. 😊

This is a nice cozy cafe setting with just 8 dining tables in total.

They offer a good variety spread of menu item ranging from Appetizer, Soup, Gourmet Sandwich, Western Favourites, Ocean Fresh, Pasta, Penang Signatures, Snacks to Desserts.

I will certainly be more than willing to try each of the menu category in time to come.

Lobster Bisque – Smooth and creamy soup of French origin based on a strained broth of crustaceans

Cream of Duo Mushroom Veloute of shiitake and button mushrooms

Crispy Fried Platter – Combination of spring roll, money bag, chicken wanton served with Thai Chilli sauce

Grilled Chicken Satay (1/2 dozen) with traditional condiments and spicy peanut sauce

Roasted Half Spring Boneless Chicken – marinated with fresh herbs, garlic, boiled potatoes and light pepper cream sauce

Fish and Chips – crispy fried breaded John Dory with mesclun salad and french fries

Grilled Halibut Fillet – Denmark Halibut served with lobster coulis, salmon roe, seasonal vegetable and cheese stick

Kway Teow Thng served with fish dumpling, sliced pork and shredded chicken with flat rice noodle in a superior broth

Baked Apple Crumble with vanilla ice cream

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake with vanilla ice cream

Overall, food quality is good and comparable to Cafe 2000. So, if you are looking for a cozy and quiet ambience to pamper yourself, you may consider to visit Starscafe for your next visit.
