Appam a.k.a Indian Pancake, is a type of pancake originated from South India made with fermented rice batter and coconut milk. It is eaten most frequently for breakfast and dinner. Well, I beg to differ as this tastes more like a dessert to me. 😃
It is not easy to find stalls selling Appam and to me, this is a traditional old school food item that brings back my childhood memories as I grew up eating it.

Thankfully, I chanced upon Abdul Jalil Stall at Jalan Bukit Merah selling really tasty and power Appam.

Appam is typically eaten with white shredded coconut and red sugar. The thick, soft and fluffy dough in the middle, the crispily thin crust on the outer area, the slightly charred bottom of the Appam coupled with the savoury and sweet sensation is pure heavenly feel. This is the kind of stuff that gives you the oomph. Definitely a great dessert to have.
Sweet-tooth lovers, it is a MUST!!! to try and I am sure you will fall in love with it!
