Lobster roll eating is often seen as a form of luxury and an enjoyment because of its high pricing compared to other seafood items.
Lobster rolls are quite a rare find in Singapore in the past but no longer so as there are now outlets like Chunky Lobsters, Pince & Pints, Luke’s Lobster and Burger & Lobster offering lobster roll in their menu.
I first tasted lobster roll at Pince & Pints followed by Luke’s Lobster when I was in Japan and that’s where I fell in love with it since. Subsequently, I had the chance to try out lobster roll again at Burger & Lobster when I was in Bangkok.
You may be pleased to know that Chunky Lobsters here offer affordable lobster roll under $20 with a reasonable portion of the lobster meat.
Served chilled with mix of herbs and spices. It is recommended to order their medium or large size for the best Chunky experience. The roll comes with a choice of potato wedges or coleslaw. Yum yum…..😋😋
There are also other items on their food menu ranging from soup, starters, pasta and dessert.
A smooth and flavourful seafood soup made from pureed lobster. Tastes like thick prawn broth. There is an acquired taste to it if you know what I mean. 😉
Creamy, earthy soup made with a variety of mushrooms. This is definitely a much more safer bet option. ☺
Squid tentacles deep fried until golden brown. Goes extremely well with the mayo dip. Tasty and chewyly good.
Mussels on the half shell served in a bowl and garnished with parsley. This is garlicky good. A definite must order for garlic lovers. 👍
Tender succulent grilled squid gremolata with tomato confit lemon that gives it a zesty taste.
Grilled lobster served on a bed of aglio e olio. Another form of lobster enjoyment.
Lobster tail, black truffle cream, garlic, parmesan and potato string. Lobsterliciously good too.
Soy based salmon served with penne in a cream mentaiko sauce. This dish is super tasty especially the soy based salmon. A dish I would highly recommend. 👍👍👍
Overall, I am pleased with the food quality. Though the lobster roll is not the best that I have had, (but) with the reasonable price point, I cannot ask for more. 😀
